Folks, don't give up on the issue of the Democratic Congressional leadership. We did not come this far to hand power back over to these billionaire corporate backed politicians. This is the seminal issue right now. Make some noise.
🤡💩🤡🥶 HELL NO.
Trump just ENDORSED Chuck Schumer as Senate President (2:15).
Trump “Schumer gets it. He’s not a bad guy. I know him. I know him very well.“
HELL NO ! Anybody Trump praises and endorses is a Death Blow.
Schumer Out !

'Don't believe your lying eyes, they are actually really great Cat Herders.'
So it seems like we are now supposed to accept that the job of Majority Leader and Speaker of the House is more akin to a Cat Herder than, you know, being a leader.
Palantir hired Schumer's daughter? Bye bye chuck!

I donated to Angie Nixon.
She could have won without the Schumer Sabotage.
Florida could have been Blueish.
She’s not done yet, Chuck. And we should retire you Chuck.🤬

I do NOT want Chuck Schumer to be Senate Majority Leader, and I do NOT want Hakeem Jeffries to be Speaker of the House.
So I called my reps and senators to tell them so.
You can too with my (shareable) call script/form letter template! Link below.

Jon Stewart's right. Schumer backed Janet Mills and Haley Stevens, and voters picked Troy Jackson and Abdul El-Sayed anyway. Then Stevens endorsed a Republican. The new class won in spite of Chuck. Kill the seniority system and hand the gavels to the people who won this.
News: Jon Stewart issues dire warning about 75-year-old Chuck Schumer after blue tsunami midterms | The Independent
“It is a bull**** system and it needs to go,” Stewart continued. “And they’re, by the way, they’re already like, ‘Chuck Schumer deserves a lot of credit for putting together this…’ ‘Chuck Schumer deserves’ — Chuck Schumer fought tooth and nail against half of these f***ing people!

Dear Stacey Abrams,
This moment is dedicated to YOU.
Before Keisha Lance Bottoms made history as the first Black woman elected governor in America, you dared to show us that it was possible.
You ran when the road was uncertain. You stood tall when the outcome wasn’t what we’d hoped. And instead of allowing defeat to define your story, you continued the work of making sure our voices were heard.
@AkaSci Guess the overarching point is that if the pitch is; 'don't believe your lying eyes, he really is a good leader,' then he is not a good leader.
Yeah, Marcy makes good points, but what it made me think is: leading when you're in the minority is different from leading when you've got the majority.
If Jeffries had immediately switched gears, then okay, yeah, maybe keep him. But the first thing I hear is he is asked about "getting even", and he needed to absolutely wreck that false language, and he didn't. We need someone else.
News: Kansas Sen.-elect Adam Hamilton stands by promise not to support Chuck Schumer for leadership | KMBC News
On Thursday, he told KMBC that he's sticking to his campaign promise not to support Sen. Chuck Schumer for Senate Democratic leader.
"No, that still stands,"
...he wants to see a new generation of leaders in Washington.
He also said it's time for younger leadership and fresh ideas.
@AkaSci Interesting article. She makes many good points about the complexity of the job and Jeffries administrative ability. However, dismissing his inability to articulate a vision commensurate with the moment misses the mark. The Speaker Of The House, the people's House, at a time when we need to radically reform our political system, is not just the leader of 250+ legislators. They are a public figure whose words and priorities must resonate with the public. They set the agenda.

@AkaSci For his first foray into the limelight to be perceived as a 'forgive and forget, time to move forward' appeal, whether that's what he meant or not, is absolutely disqualifying.
We have incredible momentum, and a huge task ahead to restore this nation. This will require leadership that is not hesitant to talk about accountability and the rule of law.
The people, through their votes, have demanded this system be fixed. We now need those in leadership to be up to the task.

Starting to see articles about how it is just TOO COMPLICATED to replace Democratic congressional leadership. To heck with that. What's going to be complicated is getting big money out of power if we don't first get it out of the leadership.
We the People did not put our necks on the line for this pathetic bullshit.
We have to demand serious leadership that matches the serious fight We the People just won without our feckless "leaders."
We HAVE real leaders in Congress, like Sens Warnock, Ossoff, and Van Hollen. Like Reps AOC and Robert Garcia and LaMonica McIver. These people also put themselves on the line to uphold their oath and they have earned the right to lead us.
