Finally did the little write up on that 24 hour track race: https://blog.ivor.org/2026/10/like-circle-in-spiral-like-wheel-within.html

No the cats aren't allowed on the bed...
Oh alright we'll put over a throw, they can sleep on that.
The cat.

Jotted down some brief notes on my run attempt while it's fresh in my mind. Not a huge amount of detail, and nowhere near as many interesting photos compared to a "fun" run.

I love the fact that I can buy and download @pluralistic ebooks direct from https://shop.craphound.com 👍 I wish more authors had the ability to use or setup non-amazon options.

also.. I *think* the screen is a bit better on this one, will have to put them side to side to double check/decide. Swings and roundabouts though, the backlight seems to buzz on this one.

Trouble is the chassis on this one has deteriorated with age and is fragile now with cracked/missing hinge clips....
Found an almost complete model - I wonder it'll be possible to get a fix 3D printed. 🤔
Time to print some sample sections to test/match/size up.
On the other hand... I wonder if it's a better idea to come up with a completely new 'cyberdeck' casing for it?

Um. So after fixing Psion 5mx #1.... I appear to now own two Psion 5mx's, after also fixing the water damaged one I got in case I needed spare parts. 🙄🤣

...and they did a specialist coffee version! (Korea and Japan) Where can I get the data for one of these!

Another #projects re-post, this one was for a GPS tracker that uploaded and also reported live health telemetry (heart rate, core temperature, blood glucose) https://blog.ivor.org/2022/03/trackertwo.html
#gps

Thought I'd re-post some of my #projects here that I had originally tweeted now I've deactivated *over there*.
This project was to interface with an Aidex glucose sensor and display the live data directly on a Bangle.js watch:
https://blog.ivor.org/2022/03/sniffing-sugar.html
I should re-visit this at some time to handle the full protocol (the patch stores data you can download) but that interaction is encrypted.

Slight late #intro...
Not quite #firstpost, that was the cat which probably tells you all you need to know really.

UK based #ultrarunner, used to do #ironman but not a great swimmer and enjoyed running more.
Still occasionally affected by a #TBI from a freak cycling accident.
Also a huge #nerd, I have many 90% finished projects. Lots of #raspberrypi , lots of #arduino, lots of #NRF I try to blog about these when I can.

Plans for 2023: Crawley24hr, GUCR, A100
