RIP Millie moo, 2011-2026. She was playing on the grass with her squeaky ball right up to her last hour or so of this life, but her time had come after a decline the last 2 days sadly.

You could be a challenging dog Millie, but you were a loving one who was loved too, and always will be. Miss you ma darlin’.

So @TheGuardian is now posting stories with AI slop pasted in?

That's what this reads like to me:

https://www.theguardian.com/business/2026/mar/09/average-uk-office-attendance-settling-at-highest-level-since-before-covid

Specifically, check out the para after "The rate in Glasgow had been edging towards 30%, and exceeded that in the latest week after several years of lower office attendance." ,
which reads like a straight copy/paste of some ChadGPT output 'facts'.

Wearing thigh high compression socks 24/7 has given me a much better understanding of how annoying af wearing tights all day must be.

I checked last time I had 120 or less creatinine it was in 2008, the year in which I was diagnosed which is wild.

Home again. All good. Most stiches out. Rest will get checked next appointment Tuesday next week and removed then or later.
Good news is creatine is 120 now, down from 154, top end of normal is 104.

Was always due to return to Poitiers this week for my first weekly 07:30 follow up, but pulled up to Monday because I didn’t like the look of my wound site yesterday (Yellow around it and it wasn’t bruised before).

Better safe that sorry when comes to immunosuppression and possible infection.

Managed another bit of sleep to get up at 07:30 👍

Own bed and no nurse visit around midnight, and then drawing blood some time 04:00-06:00, meant a sleep from 23:00-05:00 except for the peeing.

It being 35 C until late on yesterday didn’t help my oedema of course, but thankfully cooler after today.

Not doable to walk Millie lunchtime when it’s so hot and I am advised to avoid the sun 11:00-16:00 on sunny days due to elevated skin cancer risk, even with SPF50 on.

Max temps are 31 today, 25, 24, 23, 22 deg C in days to come 🤞🥵

Coming home was less pleasant than expected due to 35 deg C weather & non working aircon in the taxi. On the plus side the driver was a, down the street neighbour who has taken me to hospital 2 times before & kindly rearranged routes so he could drop by the pharmacy as he knew I wouldn’t be able to drive & pick up my meds for the week. Then it was a rush to figure out a quick low salt meal. Work to do on that front, but it will get easier. Ended with a long overdue dog walk once it was down to 24

Taxi coming in 3 hours, doc / meds handover and a last lunch and offski!

Then hameuldaeme 🏠 🐕 👩

Hopefully out today. Awaiting doctor following an ultrasound of bladder, kidneys, new kidney and all related vessels and plumbing. 🤞 Tech said it looked all good.

Most of the way through the exam the machine locked up so badly they had to reset it, fortunately their worries about losing the images were unfounded and it continued on rather than starting again (30 min process)

Doing my 4 laps of the ward a nurse said get dressed and you can leave the ward into the wider service. So put on my leaving outfit on and wandered out to the exit and back. Should’ve asked if outside was allowed, figured not :)

I’ll be back a week later for follow up which is a whole thing in itself, including home 24hr urine collection which you take 2 small samples of to your appointment. Have to arrive 07:30 & I am 2 hrs away 😩 Luckily I get a free taxi since I am not allowed to drive for a month. Weekly appointments for the first 3 months, fortnightly for 3 months more, once a month for the rest of the first year. All about the med levels #chronicillness #chronickidneydisease #CKD #kidneydisease #KidneyDonation

Update: Yesterday last IV out. Today double J catheter out; put in to aid urine flow post transplant. Worst experience of pain so far. 3 folks in a row trying. It has a magnet on it which is meant to lock on so it can be pulled out of U know where. No joy twice. 3rd time was a charm using a scope with pincers in it.
Saw dietician after.
AFAIK final thing is a kidney ultrasound and if ok leave Friday afternoon for home.

All going well so far, touch wood.
