    @north

    Many years ago, in a house long since sold, a true story of rooftop rescue:
    ———

    meow

    “Where are you, Leo?”

    meow

    (follows the meowing. It is coming from the evaporative cooler duct behind the wall)

    meow

    “You’re not *in* the duct, are you?!”

    meow

    “Oh wait, didn’t you go outside a while ago?”

    meow

    (goes outside. Leo is on the roof, behind the evaporative cooler enclosure)

    meow

    (gets on roof, grabs Leo, lowers him carefully to second-story deck, gets off roof)

    @IdeaPDish because roofs are cool, especially other people's, and even more so when there's been given no permission

    @north I want to meet the 14 people who responded ‘no’ and ask them how they’ve never locked themselves out of the house.

    @north Haha yes it’s the only way. Sorry, no but to get up to an openable window I’ve always had to climb onto a section of roof. Something about how Sydney terraces are designed - they often have a back section that’s single storey. Jump on the roof, catwalk over to a window on the second storey. I realise now this probably isn’t normal in any way.
