Driving back through rural Alberta, there were LOTS of Alberta flags and signs. Which would be nice, except it's now the flag of separatists. Ironically, the Canadian flag was previously appropriated by the trucker convoy protests and is now back as a symbol of Canadian unity.
Also, the Alberta separatists sure have a lot of signs along the highway - most chock full of AI-generated imagery, including one of a Proud Albertan™ dressed in American Revolutionary War garb. Which is kind of telling.

@dnorman @fname Which part of Alberta? I was driving west central Alberta last week and it was disturbing. I was wondering if that’s a pocket or is it all over the province. @McRocker and I were chatting about that.

On the weekend I had a family thing south of Highway 3 (runs from Crowsnest Pass to Medicine Hat), and there was a lot of this down there and along Highway 2.

@dnorman They know they're free to emigrate right? No one is keeping them here.
Say hi to RFK for us.

Heading east to Red Deer from Sylvan Lake, just down the hill, on both sides of the road lives a landowner who has mounted (for about 15-20 years) Canadian flags on each fence post... makes my heart soar every time. They have interspersed all provincial & territorial flags among as well as historical ones (I think... usually getting up to 110 km speed).
That picture will be with me today when I vote NO to the 9 and STAY.
