Half Moon Bay is known for its pumpkins and Pumpkin Festival. So of course the gas station pumps are sporting pumpkins.
This is the footpath that's at the bottom of the field next to us. Those leaves are starting to turn. If the wind and rain would stop now, that would be good.

Now THIS is a winter migration spectacle!
Thousands of Snow Geese fill the sky above a field crowded with Sandhill Cranes along New Mexico's Rio Grande bosque. The sheer number of birds is incredible, and the sound of all those wings and calls is something a photograph can never quite capture.
One of my favorite winter sights in New Mexico!
