hey y'all, I'm looking for more #modularsynth enthusiasts to follow on here, so if you know of any (or are one!) please let me know. 🙏

These cheap push buttons for instance... Half of them was broken and the rest do not have a tactile bump.

I'm considering using tactile keyboard switches for the next prototype.

I finally finished soldering the front panel parts of my DIY loop station - what a wire mess! 😅

After some debugging, re-soldering and replacing broken cheap parts, it's now waiting for the firmware!

But I need to admit, the list of improvement ideas for the next prototype gets longer and longer...

New on the blog: the ambient loop station I'm building finally has a face. I coded the front panel in OpenSCAD and 3D printed it. It's not wired yet, but it feels great to finally hold it in my hands.

Hello, (Fedi-) World 👋

This is Static90, my new project about building hardware music gear, making ambient electronic music and hacking vintage audio tech.

I love to experiment with cassette tapes and tape loops and turn them into something beautiful to listen to.

I'd like to post about my music, projects, failures and learnings.

If that sounds interesting, follow along! Feel free to say hi here, or check out my brand new blog: https://static90.com where you can also find my newsletter.
