You know the #sewing pattern for a dress is a keeper when you can fit a whole #Netbook (Samsung NC10) or iPad (for the more modern people) into the pockets 🤣

Me: I wanna make progress with all my #sewing projects 😩

Also me: it is to hot for sewing, let’s chill on the patio/in the hammock and read the multi thousand pages of “Wheel of time” 😬

#bookstodon

I fucking hate modern software!🤬

Finished my latest #sewing project. Try number 2 was a total success and turned out exactly like I wanted (*). The “Apron dress” pattern is by #TheAssemblyLine and the fabric was a cheap test fabric originally intended to be a curtain I think 😂
For looks I used bright pink thread for all seams…

*) minus the imperfections which are lack of experience.

Cut and marked. Now cleanup…

Let’s see when I have time for the actual #sewing…

Second attempt, this time hopefully with a correctly traced front piece and the stuff I learned from the first try…

Wasn't the Open Hardware Summit planed at TU Berlin main building and of May?

Looks like the TU main building is closed indefinitely as of now.

AAAAAAannnnnd back to square 1!

I did a mayor f-up when tracing the pattern for the front part onto pattern paper (mixed up the lines of two sizes) and I only noticed when trying to put on the upper facing.

I learned a lot (especially "quality control") and most likely the next try will be better, but the current state is non salvageable. Even it was only a cheap test fabric I'm sorry to throw it away...

#sewing

Progress!

Cutting day (this is a test piece for the pattern). Next weekend: get to know the fabric and how the machines interact with it.

POV, I barely managed to get the phone between the #cat and my head. He likes to cuddle as close as possible…

Well, I went total DOSception today:
This is JS-DOS, an MS-DOS emulator for web browsers, running DOjS, my Javascript runtime for MS-DOS, running a p5js sketch written in Javascript.
Last screenshot shows the sketch running natively from OpenProcessing

Soon!

#CatsOfMastodon #caturday

This sketch also runs on #DOjS, my #p5js compatible #CreativeCoding platform for #MSDOS.
Only change is that I needed to remove the SVG rendering as that is not supported.

I will make the source available later.

#RetroComputing #JavaScript

I did some #CreativeCoding today. This is a selection of the patterns I liked and curated...
