Holy shit 🤯 This and their Bring Me the Horizon - Doomed cover are getting _all_ the repeats this weekend 🤘

Sure is an "All Systems Operational" day for sure. It's been many hours now that I can't access GitHub in any reliable way 😩

Jet Lag: The Game such a nice comfort show

The latest season where they race across Japan with Tom Scott has been a lot of fun ☺️ and while I wait for the next episode, I’ve also been watching their older series in Taiwan.

11ty Bundle Issue 96

It's now I realise I need to start writing in longer paragraph blocks 🤦

I don't know if such messages would bother me or not (They probably would lol), but it'd be draining all the same.

I'm beyond tired of it, seeing it, seeing folks talk about it, and _it_ occupying my mind at all. This post even! 😅

While I might one day write negatively about it in my /notebook/ (blog) I don't know if such a prominent policy page is going going to be of much use at all.

Having such a policy page linked in the footer makes it an easy page to find, and I've certainly benefited before when checking out sites and seeing they had one.

At least I think I did? but I probably already had an idea, or would have found out soon enough anyway.

Such an easy to find page could just as easily attract the ire of those that _love_ Ạ̵̫̬̍́̔̎Ḯ̷̤̯̳̰̆̈́̓͋̚̚ and want to send me mean emails that they didn't write themselves.

Is potential client #103 that wants a site for their dog walking business going to give a shit? Probably not.

Well what about potential client #104? They're tired of A̴̧̢̨̡̻̞̝̜̩̺͉̲̗̺̰͕͉̽́̊̈́̔I̶̢̟͈̦̪͓̗̫̽̈̓̓̉͂̆̒̑̿̒́͑͘̚ in all the things just like me, and they specifically wanted to hire someone that doesn't use it.

Well, my /dev/ and/or /service-#/ page should cover that already, where I can put emphasis on the human-made, the whimsy, the giving-a-damn.

I've been (once again) pondering what to do about an A̶̤̹͕̠͕͌̈͒̆̓Ǐ̸͇̗͌̈̾̈͜͠ policy page on my site.

I was sure I'd make one, even planning to be extra snide with it too, a /fuck-ḁ̵͛i̸̺̙̲̞͘/ url and everything, but to be honest, now I'm not sure I should bother having a page for it _at all_

I'm a hater for sure, but do I need a page to disclose that? I think for any dev pals that might follow me, they know that already.

P.S. I'm still expecting enshittification will roll in with Affinity tho, since Canva acquired them 👀 I hope it won't... but lol - it's just the way it goes with so many big tech companies innit? so take that rec with a pinch of salt. I've not found my replacement for it yet.

Seeing plenty of hype for that ArtCraft thing, which is an À̶͎I̴̘͘ coded/cloned Adobe suite? I'm not fond of Adobe either, so I guess I get the appeal.

But I've already found my alternative tools (freeware/FOSS too), so have no desire to jump onto something I'm reading is _incredibly_ broken 🤷

Lightroom → darktable
Photoshop → Krita
Illustrator / InDesign / Photoshop → Affinity
Premiere Pro / After Effects → DaVinci Resolve

Was it wise that I hauled buckets of cement up ladders and got myself engulfed in a detritus cloud of 30+ years, from rodent nests, dust, and lichen? all while on the recovering side of having COVID again?

No it was not. It was not wise 😮‍💨😵

Week 2 of trying to go a bit more analogue, and use a ring binder for my weekly planning.

I'm not 100% on the whole thing yet. I will keep trying though, a bit more time, a bit more discipline - hopefully it'll _click_ ? My handwriting is a hot mess too... that's not helping 😅

Given the number of bots scraping things that shouldn't be, I propose we create a status code 469: Go Fuck Yourself.

it's a new season for technology & for technologists, and our labor and its impact to the world are both more greater and more dangerous than ever.

how do we make sense of work in an industry many of us no longer recognize?

I normally enjoy cracking open some faulty equipment, to try fix, or at least salvage something, not today!

Today I was going to save the pump from one of those coffee pod machines. After opening up one of the panels, 10+ cockroaches were scurrying about. A few even seemed to lunge towards me 🪳🤮

Fuck. That.
