hi, fediverse! here's my intro post.

🌟

i'm xiaotu!🌙🐰

i think and care (and make art and work) a lot about what it means to live ethically in an imperfect world, and i have since i was very, very young.

i think that's a better way for me to describe myself, rather than using any specific political labels
i'm definitely not a rightist though

i've been studying feminism and analysing systems of power since i was a little kid being mercilessly bullied by white kids for no reason

i love cats
i love art, but not necessarily the kind that ends up validated enough by institutions to end up in museums
i love food, all different kinds, all different cultures, all different cuisines
i love languages, words, linguistics, and learning languages
i love music
i love movies
i love well-written tv shows (in any language)

i've lived in many different cities, in several different countries, on several different continents, but it's definitely not because i was wealthy

i am vehemently against corporate big tech and corporate "AI"/LLMs/etc, for all their ethical sins(figurative use of the word; i'm not religious)

feel free to follow request me if you resonate with any of this!

english is my THIRD language, but it is also the one i'm currently most proficient in. (thanks, usa hegemony! /sarcasm)

i'm especially interested in getting to know other chinese people who know 中文! (i am not perfectly fluent in it, but that's the goal! 普通话是我第二种母语！)

i'm rusty in español (the language i studied the longest as a kid, outside of english) y 日本語, and i've been able to read 한글 since i taught myself as a kid but i'm still a beginner in actually speaking 한국말. i've also dabbled in Deutsch (long story, but i have several particular emotional connections with Deutsch und Deutschland), français, Russian, and Arabic, and i'd love to learn literally almost every single language in the world!!!

are there like, grassroots classes on learning good security practices / infosec / opsec open to the public that are trustworthy?
