On a less serious but thematically similar note, the libelling of crows and coyotes also set my teeth on edge. Every Portlander has a crow story to tell. Mine involves a murder which came to the defense of a nest of baby ospreys against a predatory eagle. Eagles are assholes. Make them the bad guys!

I mean, are they somehow enchanted? Please make that clear! Give us an heroic crow to complement the comic relief coyote!
I wish we could somehow give Laika the narrative storytelling chops of Pixar because their visual skill deserves it. That battle scene has given me dreams.

OMG, "Hidden Fortressing" Wildwood and adding a Tahei crow to a Matashichi coyote would have been so much fun!
