CONT. THREE &£*(&*&"&( HOURS GETTING ULTRA STUPID/STRESSED "why it doesn't work, it's not powering up" .. convinced "the mobo is blown up" or some shit like that .. 😢 Then "as last resort" started to think "the cables ?" BUT BUT .. they LOOK THE SAME, THEY FIT THE SAME CONNECTORS ! IT can't be "if it says PCI-E MUST BE PCI-E a standard " ??? ... apparently NO ! I had to replace EVERY SINGLE POWER CABLE. EVERY ONE ! Not even "a stupid Sata power" was working by putting the Corsair cable CONT.

I just found something criminal ! CRIMINAL ! 😡 So for whatever reason my PSU Corsair RM750x failed .. "not to have a repeat" this time I went for an Asus TUF 750w Gold. So they BOTH are "ATX3.1" and they BOTH have IDENTICAL CONNECTORS on the PSU side (a bit in different order but identical ) labelled as "motherboard" "PCI-e" "Sata" .. so of course cablings are 'megashitlocations' like "dismount ALL to remove 1 cable" ... I reasoned "don't need to, it's a standard, connectors fit the same" CONT

@fuwafuwa @Mafalda @llamasoft_ox So while waiting for the test results we finally let Skippy out .. it took really "about 20 seconds" before "head bashing at the Nth power" started 😂 You'll see in the video is still uploading ( processing ) it's like "the whole flock ( minus Panda ) involved in a crash-head game" more or less like a rugby squabble 😅 Skippy seems to be doing fine in his leg despite not yet being fully healed.

I didn't mess myself BUT .. the psu deciding to cut out did ! FIRST time I see VS telling me "cannot open this file unsupported format" .. What do you mean ? Is a .CPP file !!! Open it with Notepad+++ .. "OH !" ... File FULL OF ZEROES ALL GONE ! .. ()£(*()"&)($ PSU !! 😡

@llamasoft_ox @Mafalda @fuwafuwa CONT. that should gives us a much clearer view about what is going wrong and what OTHER type of medicine we can use. Also vet explained us that 'normally they have access to a certain set of medications', to access 'more advanced/different ones' they anyway NEED a test FIRST to confirm exactly what they need. So fingers crossed in 2 .. 3 days we should know. Meanwhile tomorrow we'll let him out the stable and go in the middle field at least.

@llamasoft_ox @Mafalda @fuwafuwa or two of treatment should clear all out, but for some reason this seems not to work that well and it's unusual. The vet says "this is a bit of a non-normal difficult case". There's suspicion that MAYBE this blue-tongue going around can weaken the immune system response for quite a while. But ALL our sheep been vaccinated for it and Skippy never shown any symptoms so I doubt that could be a factor. Anyway they got a swab they'll do a 48 hours lab test and CONT.

@llamasoft_ox @Mafalda @fuwafuwa So .. not super good news for Skippy 😢 While the part where the surgery been done is effectively healing well there's this "pocket of infection" that for some reason "doesn't want to go away". So he's been drained and washed again - very hard / very distressing thing ( for him ) 😢 but this time we took a sample for lab analysis to see more about what exactly is causing this infection not to go. The anti-biotic given should be working fine and normally 1 week CONT

@llamasoft_ox @ric @sinbad @psychicparrot42 CONT. spend 2 hours working out a 4D puzzle to change some cables or "cutting out spaces in 5D" to attempt to add another SSD drive inside or "spend 15 mins with a torch studying a mobo to figure out I HAVE to use my KITCHEN WOOD SPATULA to un-latch the PCI-E retention clip to remove the GPU" as NOTHING ELSE would possibly fit in that gap ! "I dream of a server/supercomputer thing" where you can swap things in/out in 5 mins while the PC still runs !

@llamasoft_ox @ric @sinbad @psychicparrot42 "Is any PC WELL DONE nowadays ?" so we change PC around every 10 years .. now please DON'T tell me that 'well done' means it did last 2 years 😡 Of course trying to buy 'something in the middle' not spending 'shitload' nor 'too little'. So far ALL PCs I've seen are NOT 'well done', despite all the fancy looking cases and all to me they look like they are more made for show than practical. To me 'well done' for example would mean "I don't have to CONT.

@fuwafuwa @Mafalda CONT. we do the best we can to help/make him feel ok but it's wearing us a little seeing the progress seems to be so slow. We don't even talk ( nor that it matters really but just to say ) about the costs .. Skippy is probably so far "a sheep worth an entire flock" 🥰 well to be fair we spent a bit for other sheep too and is still "nothing" compared to what vets for cats/dogs normally ask. But yeah we just want Skippy out and grazing grass again, he DESERVES it !

@fuwafuwa @Mafalda CONT. PROPER BORED about it 😢 The thing is as long as there's an infection going leaving it out could compromise all and go back to square one. This thing "in its simplicity" turned out to be a really tough one to clear. We had in the past some sheep with an abscess in the foot, but usually 1 week of therapy was sufficient. Skippy is now over 1 month he's been cared/cleaned/got injections every 2 days, etc. It IS healing but it's SO SLOW I'd be bananas in a stable for 1 CONT.

@fuwafuwa @Mafalda So an update about Skippy's situation. He's doing very well .. BUT .. we think there's still a bit of the infection going 😢 Very little but is still a bit there. So tomorrow around 1.30PM we'll have the vet come to check again, if there's still something they'll take a swab to analyse it and find PRECISELY what kind of more targeted antibiotic he may need. We are worried about his psychological welfare .. he's been in a stable for 4 weeks now and he's starting to be CONT.

@llamasoft_ox @klord @psychicparrot42 @sinbad @Mafalda "I need a blessing, or some powerful anti-bad-luck amulet" .. so my WORK PC decided to power itself down .. and then up .. and the off again .. and then randomly powering on/off without any intervention. At the moment I thought some fans issues but hum .. looks like the PSU is toast .. again .. so long Corsair RM750X .. not even .. 1 year ? ... Trying now with an ASUS GOLD TUF gaming .. let's hope it'll last longer 😐 No idea why this happens

@Mafalda @fuwafuwa @llamasoft_ox Skippy is really "a masterpiece example" of what a STRONG Ram is ! He doesn't complain, he doesn't moan, he isn't angry, he's always the gentle lovely Skippy we know still needing his cuddles. I don't know if he understands we are really trying to help him with all we are doing to him I think "most people would have gone well bananas" but no Skippy, he has really endurance and perseverance ! He's really a very good boy, bless him 😢 🥰
