I will say it again. Bin Laden won. The quarter-century tantrum that America has thrown after 9/11 has cost us TRILLIONS of dollars as well as our (already greatly compromised) moral standing as a nation, and it seems to have fractured our system of government irrevocably. We may have rebuilt the World Trade Center, but we never really recovered.

I was delighted to see that @friendsofpollok is now using alt text on their images. They're a voluntary organization dedicated to promoting the use of and improving the 146-hectare (361-acre) Pollok Country Park on the South Side of Glasgow, which is a fantastic and underused resource.

I work in retrofit and I have to wear a serious full on respiratory mask to go into lofts. It required a special appointment with a safety officer to ensure it fitted as tight as possible and I knew exactly how to wear it and could function while physically exerting myself.
I go into lofts on a semi-regular basis and yeah, I know they are full of dust, insulation fibres and an inevitably often asbestos.
The risks from the debris of the WTC were known.

Archaeologists from the Natural History Museum (NHM) have discovered a large complex of Iron Age mining chambers in the Hallstatt salt mountain (Gmunden district). The chambers extend over approximately 300 meters and provide new insights into prehistoric salt mining.

But if we let the Chinese grow their own Hugo first that would be bad. This is why we must invest 100 trillion dollars in Hugo immediately.
Neighsayers claim Hugo is "just a horse" and "can't save and/or destroy the planet." But it is early days. Hugo technology is constantly getting better.
