Days after six years of accessibility work finally landed in core, Matt Mullenweg ordered it reverted, and Andrea Fercia's WordPress.org account was briefly banned.

Gisteren meegedaan aan de open huizen dag. Bang dat niemand zou komen kijken.
Maar het was druk! 15 bezichtigingen totaal.

Replying to an email signed with "[name], AI Assistent of [company]" feels like talking to HAL.

I prefer talking a human. Really.

No, I won't review your plugin, especially not for free.

This is the second time this week I'm asked to review a plugin that is supposed to "improve the accessibility" of WP.

WordPress doesn't need yet another a11y plugin; it needs contributors to improve core, create good themes, and write decent documentation. If you want to help with that, then please reach out.

Made rye bread, for the first time.

One small bite is enough to fill the stomach of a grown man.

I need a better recipe.

Anyone?

I canceled my account for Bluesky. Everyone I want to follow is already here at Mastodon.

See how many visible WCAG violations you can find in this 25 second clip from https://corpowid.ai/blog/the-eu-ai-act-and-accessibility-how-they-intersect-in-2026 !

One hint — my window is 1,280px wide.

You don’t have to share. We don’t do free audits for #overlay companies here.

As always, adding overlays adds risk, adds barriers, adds harm.

Open source is team work.

`autocorrect` is Baseline Newly available! It accepts "on", "off", and "" (same as "on"). Browsers default to "on", so it's mostly a matter of turning it off. Doesn't apply to URL, email, and password inputs.

New in the WP Accessibility Knowledge Base, for content managers:

Tables in the content.

How to show information in a structured way, so everyone understands the information.
