Today I did a Pigeon on The Air activation at DE-0080 Steinhuder Meer. That little guy (or gal?) strolled around my place, inspecting everything with curiosity. Started pecking on my left foot while I had a QSO with F4ABI 😂

I offered him (her) to do some training calls but without success. The activation ended with 55 (human) operators in the log.

Closeup of a young pigeon on yellow dry grass walking towards the camera.

The same young pigeon inspecting my left foot (I wear black sneakers). In the background are some green trees and people sitting on a bench. All around is very brown and yellow dry grass.

I'm holding the black microphone of my Yaesu transceiver in my right hand, offering it to the young pigeon. The pigeon stands on my antenna cable on the ground, looking a bit puzzled.
