I didn’t die, just forgot to post the pics. 😆

Nice easy walk, kinda steep towards the top. Great views across Dublin and the Wicklow coast, camera didn’t do it justice.

That’s where we’re heading next! Kippure, highest point in County Dublin.

Third (or second) one done. ✅ Cupidstown Hill in Kildare.

Took us 12 minutes there and back, including stopping for photos at the “top”. 😆

First two (kinda) done! Arderin, on the border of Offaly and Laois. It was an easy hike but very wet and boggy.

Stopped for some lunch on the way to the next one, which will be super easy.

Spotted a pyramid on the map, decided to stop! Spooky misty morning in a graveyard. (Kinnity Pyramid, if you’re interested.) #SilentSunday

Heading out on a Peaks of Ireland trip today. We’ve only done one so far, but by the end of today we’ll have done five!

Ok so one of them is literally next to the road and another is in a border so we get two for the price of one. But still!

We just lived deliciously and watched Witch, next up is Braindead.

Not bad with almost zero prep! PVA glue, toilet paper, nail varnish and fake blood. Not sure it will last long…

I didn’t have time to mess around too much with an LED but I found a Christmas earring with a blinking red LED which I’ve taken apart and stuck behind the lens of a pair of sunglasses. I’d rather it wasn’t flashing, but it’ll do.

Going to a Halloween sorta-party later. It’s not exactly a party, it’s just a group of friends watching movies and drinking, which I guess is party-ish.

Anyway it was kinda short notice so we had to scrabble for costumes, I’m going as a low-effort Terminator. Black tshirt, leather jacket, sunglasses, boots. I’m gonna try to sort out a red LED for one eye of the sunglasses, and I’ll attempt a wound with metal underneath the skin but if that doesn’t work out I’ll just go with the clothes.

A long time ago I used the free trial of Kindle Unlimited, which had a nice feature allowing you to sync your progress between ebooks and audiobooks. So I could go out for a run listening to a book, and then pick up my kindle at bedtime and it was at the same point where I stopped listening. I really liked that.

Well, now I have that feature with my own ebook library! I’m using BookBridge to track reading or listening progress in one format or the other and update the counterpart. When I listen to a book in the car, the ebook version gets updated to the same location, and vice-versa. Awesome! There’s a bit of messing to “map” the audiobook initially, but it’s not difficult.

Best of all, BookOrbit lets you “join” ebooks and audiobooks so they appear in the same place in your library. I can pick up my phone and choose whether to read or listen to a book in one app. This is awesome.

(I don’t actually read a lot on my phone, but it’s sometimes useful if I’m out somewhere without my ebook reader.)

“IG banned our account, here’s our new one.” 🙄

I get that businesses rely on advertising to make sales, but if a platform is openly hostile to your customers they’re clearly not the right platform for your business. Stop using them, and maybe their attitudes will change? If you go crawling back, why would they bother?

As an aside, I deleted my Meta account years ago and it’s ridiculous how many places and groups ONLY share information via IG or FB. If you don’t use IG, you can’t find out about new events or sales etc. Annoying, but not annoying enough to give Meta my data. 🖕🏻

He’s still a telly addict too. 😆

It’s Timber’s Gotcha Day today. We picked him up a year ago today. ☺️🖤

I’m an absolute sucker for 80s vibes and hence I fucking love this. 💃🏻 https://song.link/i/6822390426

The bit with the car park and the 80s music! 🤯❤️

Just gonna leave this here.

If a song doesn’t credit the singer, it’s probably AI, right? 🤔

Kinda loving this, the same song twice, different versions with male and female vocals (I prefer She Break). But I’m pretty sure it’s AI. 😒 Wasn’t really able to find anything to confirm my suspicions in a web search. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Of course the real question is… Xbox or PlayStation? 🤔

I’m home alone for a few days and yesterday was payday and Control Resonant is just there waiting for me to click “buy”…

Well, I've managed to strike a deal with the age verification people with means I can move into alpha testing for my social networking site. Whoop!
