I'm glad this guy is here to tell me the plot because this movie seems uninterested in showing it. No complaints about the action. The training montage nonsense isn't for me. Mostly because I can't take JCVD seriously. His facial expressions are those of a muppet. #DoubleTeam #KungFuSat

Weather cooperating we'll head for the nursery after this movie then pick up pizza from a local favorite before returning home with our goodies.
If it is actively raining, we'll figure out a plan b.
This is an awful lot of setup for what I suspect will merely be fodder for explosions and shenanigans later. Underwater laser grid? OK, we'll definitely never see that again. #DoubleTeam #KungFuSat
That's a lot of explosions for the first twenty minutes. Definitely trying to compensate for the writing. Yikes. The dialogue is especially bad.
And where is this plot going in the second act? Does this movie even know what it wants to be? Tons of action, pointless and meaningless but action all the same. Everything else is feeling pretty random.

Another one I have not seen before. I saw plenty of JCVD's other work but I think his star may have been waning by '97. Rodman isn't even good stunt casting so you have to wonder at the conversations leading to Van Damme agreeing to being in this. #DoubleTeam
Tea is done and the weekly grocery delivery has arrived (we order staples but still go to the organic market for produce and a few other things). No more excuses, these pups need time to stretch their legs and sniff around the neighborhood. At least the weather is entirely agreeable.

The sheer contempt expressed by Fitch. Feels very of this moment, uncomfortable reminder of the horrid oligarchs we are suffering from.
And there is Rohr's insight skewering that exact contempt. And the rank nihilism of Fitch. Not even moral relativism.
