I may or may not have installed a Minecraft server in my home lab.
It wasn't only watching the movie yesterday. When Liam visited last weekend, he was telling me about a server he and his friends set up and have been playing on together.

The sun is back, just in time to brighten our drive this afternoon for our weekly grocery trip.
I am already halfway through my weekly chores. I am hoping to balance the rest with some more relaxation this afternoon before another week with the possibility of high work stress.

From his writing, my impression of Lee was that he was both pretty full of himself and didn't take anything too seriously.
Jason Scott Lee's performance feels true to that, especially the sense of play.
Another biopic about Lee I enjoyed, probably in the minority, was Birth of the Dragon. My favorite scene was Wong Jack Man encouraging Lee to embrace and explore his own style. To me, resonated with that same playfulness.

I wasn't expecting to like it, as much as I love the game. I was surprised at how fun it is. I think they leaned into the silliness just enough without going too far. We didn't finish but plan to later in the afternoon.
I ended up doing a little yard work this morning.
I cleaned up the dog waste. I removed more of the liriope from the front walk. I weeded the bed by the front door.
On one hand, I feel good for working despite the lack of motivation. Good practice at how moving leads to motivation.
On the other, the feeling of satisfying some need to be productive is bullshit. But that sense is sated so I can more easily enjoy the rest of my day.

I haven't seen a lot of his movies but read his book about Jeet Kune Do as a teenager which left a strong impression. I was starting to read about Zen and Taoist philosophy at the same time so the philosophical aspect of his writing was very intriguing.
I am happy with and proud of my QA.
Code freeze for big $dayjob project was yesterday. We had four priority stories to get tested and merged. I was worried we'd only complete one.
QA persisted and finished all but one of the four, including two critical performance improvements. I already prepared my boss to expect us to ask an exception to the freeze early next week. So much easier to ask for one story rather than four.

This was one of the first DVDs we owned. Been forever since I've last seen it. Twelve minutes in and I might as well not have seen it before.
Testing continues to go well. All is working as expected.
I am sitting on the valkey CLI and seeing entries come and go as QA works, both from my team and others. I dialed the expiry down to 30 minutes in our test env to make it easier to see the entries expire as expected.
The cache operations are easily an order of magnitude faster than the live API call. The resulting change in the performance graph looks fantastic.
QA still has a ways to go to fully test out my changes but these early results are validating and encouraging.
