I'm very glad to report that not only was I called in as third speaker in a 2-hour session, and after me fantastic contributions came from #DigitalRights org #AccessNow, but also @beyondfossilfuels, and others that outline the real dangers and downsides created by the planned massive build-out of #AI datacentres in #Europe.

Sadly, the Director from the European Commission keeps on peddling those pipe dreams and grand industry claims that #AI will help reduce water and electricity consumption elsewhere more than the datacentres would consume.
Of course he provided zero evidence.
