🤡 Putin: It has become obvious to everyone that defeating Russia on the battlefield is impossible.

Inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia is unrealistic.

And I think that those who have sought to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia throughout the centuries will recognize the realities of modern life and understand that it is better to live in friendship with Russia.

This is in the interests of their own peoples.

Regular reminder to join a union. Especially if you're in tech and you think you don't really need to.

But also: a union is not a magic machine were you put money in on one side and a better world comes out on the other side. It's not a service provider for delivering fairness.

Unionising and organising first and foremost mean doing things together, not individually. Supporting each other and being active for our common goals. And that means people doing stuff.

RT: @LuckyHeronSay Miliband and Burnham so scared of the Board of Deputies that they'll take tougher action on a a teacher wearing a Palestine flag badge than they will on a genocide

Dolly Parton's sister, Stella Parton, says that a voting machine in Tennessee repeatedly switched her selection to Republican Marsha Blackburn, so she had to correct her ballot paper three times before she could vote. She's not alone. Other voters in Tennessee have reported similar issues while trying to vote for Democrats.

Gentleman from the #BBcquestiontime audience says the #NHS services are "too fragmented"

For my own experience I am under two different neurology departments and they do not seem to talk to each other effectively, what with one saying they can't access the MRI records of another.

The NHS is like a barrel full of biscuits.

Sorry but DHH calling people wolves that need to be shot does not come "from a place of caring" https://lobste.rs/c/1k43c5

You can defend any horrible genocidist this way: oh they were a good family member, a nice neighbor, they're worried about their kids. But what you're doing with that is enabling genocide https://lobste.rs/s/ipy9xw/normalized_fascism_open_source_12#c_gzsbdi

RE: https://hachyderm.io/@jzb/117207618016534587

Great words from @jzb on deradicalization being valuable, but pointing to people doing the hard work of empathy and deradicalization to *excuse* bad behavior is just dangerously counter-productive

(Some extra context is this part of the thread https://lobste.rs/s/ipy9xw/normalized_fascism_open_source_12#c_n5ohiz )

@pushcx @cwebber I've told you directly on the site that you can either encourage these guys or not, and you needed to make a choice. You've made your choice: Lobsters is a polite garden party for AI salesmen and relitigating, over and over, straight-up Nazi ideas. *None* of the guys in this DHH thread are new to this stuff on the site.

@pushcx @cwebber It was a year ago, and don't call me a liar because your own search is shit https://lobste.rs/s/zoirhl/appealing_ban_user_friendlysock#c_y9irbd

you have decided you like having these guys around, don't act surprised now

LMFAO...the internet 💁🏼‍♀️

🇩🇰🤝🇺🇦 Denmark has transferred to Ukraine more than 50 thousand 20-mm ammunition for the onboard guns of F-16 fighter jets in an accelerated mode.

Ukrainian pilots are already using them to intercept jet drones.
