Quick Fluxer update: The standard desktop client now supports self-hosted instances! 🎉
Additionally, Roadmap item #4, Federation, has been really fleshed out with some of the though process behind where they want to take it. Again, I'm pretty pleased with the conscious decisions they are making and I'm looking forward to seeing how it continues to play out.
If your coworker is obviously vexed and shouting at their computer, "What do you want from me??" it is probably *not* the best time to respond with, "About tree-fiddy".
A semi-sonic burst into Monday and feeling strangely fine, even though it's not closing time yet.
I hope that you're all making the best of the day you've been given!
I don't know if it speaks more to my #Nikke Union members being pretty alright, or that the the skill divide between the top players and the rest of us is just that big, but I am at least proud that we can consistently place in the top 25% in Union Raids even with only 6 or so members participating with varying degrees of consistency.
One of the things I'm having a good time with in #Fluxer is the ability to "favorite" an image, gif, or video. This stashes it away in your profile for use later - perfect for when you need just the right reaction to some nonsense a buddy says. Oh, and the favorites are taggable and searchable so that you can find what you need quickly and easily. Very fun.
Sleeping in has always been something that happens to other people. I think that my body just says, "Ooo, 2am on a weekend - more time to play games!"
An updated Fluxer 2026 Roadmap dropped yesterday and it looks like desktop clients will support self-hosted instances very soon!
Also new information about a timeline for E2EE, a new voice/video chat engine, and a tentative outline for federation!
I am actually really excited to see Fluxer developing along pretty much all the lines I was hoping that it would.

Aggregation time. Thanks Milo!
For the folks like me who, for whatever reason, don’t want to rock the boat or step on toes: remember that if you don’t make waves you won’t leave a mark.
Find the thing(s) that put that spark in your soul and press forward. You might be pleasantly surprised at what happens.
I just realized that my #introduction was auto-deleted as part of my retention policy so here we go again.
I adore tech and what it can do for people, but I hate to see what it's become, so I am a huge proponent of self-hosting solutions.
I have huge problems with social skills, so if I am loud, awkward, unable to read the room, or otherwise annoying I'll apologize now. Just know that I'm not doing it on purpose, but I'll appreciate a kind correction.
Old enough to remember Smurfs on TV.
