Some of the info is redacted and it's nearly impossible to get ideas about motives
@_elena @FediThing Not like she has a great track record? Trying to censor the internet years ago, then letting Google off the hook just recently?

Oct 18, 2026, 7:26 PM@FediThing the fact that the European Commission took YEARS to add the Mastodon + Bluesky logos to their footer (replacing X) and yet as soon as they moved from Bluesky to W’s server they IMMEDIATELY added the W logo in place of the Bluesky one.
I literally screamed out loud when I saw it! (my poor husband is always like: « what’s wrong ? »)
I've never really liked von der Leyen, so I'd guess it was the standard reason for caring - either money now or the promise of a well remunerated position in big tech once she's finished in politics. Neither would be a good look.
