First, thank you @paul for the daily joy of your prompts via @hashtaggames - they often make my day! Thanks also to everyone else who sometimes makes a new game, and all the regulars and occasional contributors. I love you all.

That said, please be aware that blame for this bot belongs with me. The fact that it exists and whatever bad decisions or mistakes exist within it are my own fault, and should not be blamed on anyone else. (Also: apologies to the excellent admins here on my instance for the accidental abuse my code hit the servers with at times. @aussocialadmin, you rock. Everyone, subscribe to your instance with money if you can - and love thy admins.)

I’ve been very mindful of the fun and non competitive nature of #HashTagGames in designing and making it. Therefore, it is completely fine with reposts and near-reposts, or with multiple separate spontaneous games going on in a day. It doesn’t display usernames of the posters; you can and should search for any posts that it surfaces that you like! Similarly, while it does use an internal scoring mechanism to choose which items to put in the summary, it will not display the scores.

You may wish to block the bot itself, or perhaps one or both of the tags it will post with: #HashTagGamesAppreciationBotCheckIn and #HashTagGamesAppreciationBotDailySummary. It also posts with #HashTagGamesAppreciationBot if that helps or you want to generally discuss it.

As well as my love of hashtag games, I made this to teach myself a bunch of stuff to do with Azure and Git; I’m an experienced programmer, but not in those things. I also wanted to learn more about the use of AI in coding - so while I wouldn’t call it “Vibe coded”, and it has taken me over two months of my spare time, yes AI was used fairly extensively in its creation.
