I continue to fight to make BBC News' RSS feeds not-suck, despite ongoing efforts to dilute their value by the BBC themselves.
Last month they started injecting ads for their email newsletter-based subscription option into their RSS feed. But I don't need email: I have RSS! The ad initially slipped through the filters because it looks like the URL of a news article: sneaky move, BBC!
Anyway; it's fixed now and these newsletter ads should no longer appear in the feeds available on https://bbc-feeds.danq.dev - hurrah!

@atlas_des_flux Congratulations, you just found a bug in #ClassicPress (and, I've just tested, in upstream WordPress): if you use a "feed keyword" like feed, rdf, rss, rss2, atom or comments as a tag name, then you can't (a) navigate to deeper "pages" of that tag, nor (b) subscribe to its feeds!
I'll raise an issue with the relevant maintainers (and maybe see if I can implement a patch).

@dan @atlas_des_flux Funny how nobody in 20 years ever noticed this...
But, this might be a good moment to limit feeds to just posts and pages. I never really got why everything needed a feed.

@arnan @atlas_des_flux I use tagged feeds all the time, and rely on a few on my website! My RSS-Only RSS feed is based off of a tag, as is my podcast!

@arnan @atlas_des_flux I've implemented a patch on my own site so that feed (of posts tagged 'rss') should work now.
