I've always drawn these weird doodles since I was at school. I can see now #ADHD is a part of it, where to keep my mind occupied I would half mindlessly doodle in my school books as a way to try and stay half focused in class. But I kept doing it, and 30 years later I still am. All these drawings, I have never really shown before, but I'm going to here. This is the earliest doodle I have, from September 2001, when the video of planes hitting the towers was on constant rotation.

    #mastoart #art

Doodle image using biro pen on paper. shows two twin buildings holding a plane. A man sits below them in an armchair holding a mug.

@Wintergr33n A very long time ago when I dared show people my drawings, was often compared to Robert Crumb who I didn't know or understand at the time - but which was another thing that caused me to withdraw - as this was something I did naturally outside of any influence.
It's the cross hatch style which for me, came from limitation of only having a Biro pen and paper, but goes back hundreds of years to woodcut prints, and I was lucky enough to see Hans Brosamer (1500's) pieces in a museum

@shye I read the other day that if the paper is lined or grilled, it's a doodle; if the paper is pain white, it's a drawing. I love your drawing.

@mdione The definition is that a 'drawing' is planned, but a 'doodle' is done semi-mindlessly. Like, a doodle is scribbling random lines and shapes on a bit of paper whilst you're on the phone more focused on the conversation. I call these my "elaborate doodles" because that's how I do them, semi-mindlessly. Thanks, glad you like it though.
