As a society, we need to move beyond discrimination of our fellow humans. Only then will we be able to advance beyond where we are. If we accept everyone as they are, only then can we tackle the actual problems in this world that need solving.

But it seems like we're still doing baby steps, with many of us trying to educate some fools that they should open their eyes, so they can see the differences between humans, and what unites us as one human kind.

    Wake up. Understand. Progress. Succeed.

How can we solve issues concerning the trajectory of our entire species that is outgrowing our planet, when some of us can't even see that the person next to them is also just human, with all the benefits and hardships that come with that?!

If empathy is the low bar here, then we need to make sure to meet that one first before some of us decide to skip ahead to single handedly guide humankind into the future. Without empathy, this endeavor will fail dramatically.
