    I'm talking with a journalist who has some deep questions about the #Mastodon codebase. Their questions are now well beyond my depth.
    If you know the Mastodon codebase (specifically Mastodon, not other ActivityPub implementations) well and would like to go on the record with a journalist regarding technical details about the codebase, I could use help.
    Update 2026-08-22: Journalist has talked to key Mastodon developers and myself both. No need to boost this further to find anyone to interview.

    I thank all of you that replied. I just noticed that Mastodon's Technical Director (whom I notice appears frequently in the codebase's commit logs), @renchap, expressed willingness to help. If Renaud runs out of time, I'll reach out to others who replied.

    @renchap Thanks so much. The journalist is working on an in-depth story and they currently have no specific press deadline as they are digging deeper. I'll start Cc'ing you on my correspondence with them.
