@hroncok Hi— you may find this response rude, but—
Your intent with this post is "don't assume my contributions are slop just because of my employer"—
However the *content* of your post is "all Fedora employees, even if they don't like 'AI', are being pressured to use it to the point they use it anyway; and the decision to honor a no-AI policy is left up to the individual contirbutor".
…so the effect of your post is I'll be *more* likely to view Fedora employees as secretly sneaking me slop!
@hroncok Meanwhile I am not just a maintainer but also a user of OSS, so you seem to be saying that you've been tossing slopcode into python packages on a possibly constant basis anywhere there isn't an explicit no-AI policy (and you tag, but there's no guarantee your coworkers do). I need to stress the knowledge this is happening on a wide scale (IBM burning token money to pollute OSS with slopcode) is why I now mistrust OSS by default and am exploring how to reduce my dependence on it.
@hroncok Like, I just don't know what to do with this. Your conclusion seems to be "don't be mean to me, I feel very bad about what I've done" but you don't seem to have considered the possibility that the people you did it to feel even worse
