I found a nearly complete/slightly damaged bike in the hard rubbish last week. Stripped the broken groupset, made a minor repair, then built it up with bits from my parts bin. It's a Norco from just pre- disc brake era, now with Shimano 6800 ultegra and fulcrum racing 3 wheels. The only thing I had to buy was a longer gear cable outer as the bike has a full cable run to the rear.
Pretty happy with it, gonna use it as a travel bike for when we go out of town.
