@HopelessDemigod Or never started. I considered volunteering on a FOSS project. (Mainly for the resume polish, mind.)
I decided against it. I'd already had a bad experience on Wikipedia, and recognized that kind of behavior as typical of the standard toxic FOSSbro. Decided nothing was worth being treated like that again.
Imagine if the PHP project's volunteers were paid market rates for their work, as their full-time jobs, and had the paid manpower the project requires.

Regular reminder to join a union. Especially if you're in tech and you think you don't really need to.
But also: a union is not a magic machine were you put money in on one side and a better world comes out on the other side. It's not a service provider for delivering fairness.
Unionising and organising first and foremost mean doing things together, not individually. Supporting each other and being active for our common goals. And that means people doing stuff.
i don't know who needs to hear this, but
Apparently, my daughter was given an assignment to use generative #AI to create a poster / cover for A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court in her English class. She took offense to this and asked if she could just do the assignment by hand or digitally using one of her #art apps. She was told no. So, my daughter decided to take a stand and not do the assignment. We support her decision completely. Asking someone who lives for creating her own art to use AI and refusing to accept anything else is inexcusable.

Zo lastig is die denkoefening toch niet?
How does 4 affect imitating dead servers for online stores on discontinued consoles or game servers that have been taken down? Surely eMudrha is trusted in some embedded applications where it's difficult to do revocation?

i collect my childrens lost baby teeth in individual bags, each with a note with their age, the date, and who pulled it - my wife finds this grotesque and strange. i find the idea of discarding them far more disturbing... like trash?! growing up keeping a childs baby teeth seemed very normal.
Computers were not a mistake.
The Internet was not a mistake.
The mistake was allowing everything to be about money and power rather than community building.

Here's to all the kids who were born with non-default settings; to all you who put the effort in to figure yourselves out.
You're amazing and deserve to be celebrated.
