Well. That’s not confusing labeling. Obviously the “C” stands for Covid and the “T” is test line, right? Or so I thought at first glance. In fact, the C is Control and the T is, uh, Covid.

... Well. I'm sure there's nothing embarrassing in there.

Grabbers. Still a feckin delight of a movie. Aliens invade an island off the Irish coast. Booze up and save yourselves!

You know, I think there are body horror movies that start this way.

Absolutely savage.

Happy Skynet-goes-active day to all who celebrate.

Hey, folks going to hacker summer camp: I was just out in LV and was lax with masking and now I have covid. So, big thumbs up for y’all masking more reliably than I did.

HEY NERDS!
I'm trying to put together a few cool facts to drop into a work chat, and since it's disability pride month, I figured I'd look around for cool stuff on that front. Anyone got new favorite cool adaptive tech or other awesome disability/disability-adjacent links or bits of news that they particularly like?

I'm next to a window and feel like I'm trapped in some kind of overprocessed cgi bullshit movie scene with absurd post-apocalyptic skies. Or maybe "actually, they're on MARS" (but gravity seems to be standard earth and I can breathe so that's not it)

Whaaaaaat is this weirdness? Okay, gonna have to buckle down and read through this.

No lie detected.

Seattle folks! Suggestions for a coffee place downtown?

Oh man, RIP Marcia Lucas.

My personal theory, with nothing to support it but vibes, is that part of George Lucas making 'special editions' of Star Wars was to get his ex's prints off it.

One person named "Lucas" actually won an Oscar for Star Wars, and it was Marcia.

Oh, bravo. Definitely adding that to the list.

In case you hadn't seen this MRE-related trivia on the instruction to lean the heater against a "rock or something": https://taskandpurpose.com/culture/mre-heater-rock-something-true-story/

I bet the emacs doesn't include M-x: psychoanalyze-pinhead

YOW! AM I ROUTING YET?

Once in a whlie, I remember that the cisco ASR router lets you edit some config elements with an actual text editor, and then I get weirded out because one of the options is emacs.  I did not anticipate "built-in emacs" was going to be a feature on a router.  It has has vim available, and (annoyingly) defaults to nano.

Hey librarians and librarian-adjacent folks! Y'all might like this, and @InfoSecSherpa gives good presentation.

Attn @jessamyn @overholt if you know folks who might benefit.
