Did I post this quilt already? It was another wedding quilt, made for a friend of mine this summer. They eloped and didn't tell their families until it was done.
I also designed the central medallion and the framed photos of the dogs for this one. I had to buy the wood grain fabric. The rest was fabric I had in my stash.
The joke is that they told us the wedding would be on the 18th of October, but they *actually* got married on the 5th of September, up in British Columbia, Canada. So the quilt has the wrong date printed on it. LOL
And, I'm back. SpousalUnit and I turned a short trip north for a family member's memorial service to an extended trip further north to do some sightseeing. Gone for nearly 2 weeks! I missed my quilting studio, and of course all my friends here.
I happen to have a Surface Pro that I found in my studio today. I think it might be a WIN11 tablet. Maybe I can use that?
Just this afternoon, I found out that Stream Deck is not compatible with Linux (Mint or otherwise). Any suggestions for an alternative for streaming? I'm planning to start streaming on Twitch later this year. I got the Stream Deck when my laptop was still a WIN10 machine, before WIN11 came out and ruined everything.
Hey, Linux tech peeps! Advice needed.
If you (used to?) run software in WIN10, that is *not* available for Linux, what is your favorite way to work around that? WINE? WinApps? Something else?
Note: I'm learning Linux. I used it for a short while a loooooooong time ago, but not within the past decade or more.
If I can do this successfully, I'll next try to convert a few processes to Linus to see how I can manage the new OS. If I like it well enough, I just might go ahead and convert everything, since I now have only 1 WIN11 tablet (which is dedicated to my longarm quilting machine), and the rest are WIN10 (and a couple iPads).
I am currently charging my "spare" laptop, in hopes that I can figure out how to convert it to Linux.
Here's the video I'll use to do the conversion:

(Thank you, @jenny753 for helping me with this project.)
Does anyone here know what the software is called that tracks inventory and costs? It was something for crafting.
Please boost for better reach.

I'm having a problem with an HTML page (one single page) that I coded a couple of years ago. The problem is in the thread below. Please feel free to boost for extra reach. I'd really like to know how to fix this, if possible.
Alas, the problem is happening again. Something, somewhere, somehow, is changing his index.html file to index.php. He is not running any CMS and this is on a sever he built and owns.
He wrote: For reason I do not understand, the index.html file you wrote for me keeps changing to index.php and when it does I get a short line of gibberish on a plain white screen. Any ideas what's happening?
Then: My server is nginx, and as far as I know there's no content management system in use.
Advice?3/3
So, I was able to CAREFULLY rework the code, fixing what I thought might be the problem. Zipped all the corrected files to him after testing in several browsers and my phone and iPad, that it did, indeed, work as intended.
He re-installed everything, but once again, the HTML file converted to a PHP file, and he saw the same junk code on his page.
After *deleting* all the files on his site, and reinstalling the new files, his site worked as designed.

I need tech help.
A couple years ago, I created an HTML-based website for a friend. All he needed, really, was a single index page with a few links, and a logo. No problem, made a working page and a logo, zipped it up, and sent it to him.
Last year, he starts having a problem viewing his site. For some strange reason, all he sees is this string. No other text or image on the screen.
Quilters: I'm looking for information.
Brandon Wulff created a style of quilt called a "biscotti". He used to have the on demand class on his website, but it's no longer available.
I get the gist of the process: make a quilt top, then cut it up and make new blocks, then sew them back together to make a new top.
I'm looking for a few specifics/recommendations for how to build the original, then how to cut/rebuild the final top. Anyone here who can provide some info? Please boost. #quilt
Y'all saw this, right?
