If there's anything P4 and other RCSs can learn from the "standard git best practices" then it is to put README.md files into repos and streams, instead of me guessing wtf I'm looking at

Creepy Zuckerberg dog? Or the cute Bezos mutt? Which one is your favorite?

It's really just the headline, but it feels like it applies to pretty much any Corporation that has the full MS Teams + MS Office + MS Slopilot + MS Authenticator + MS Shitpoint installation going.

Maybe you don't care about the EU's digital sovereignty. But let's be serious for a moment - the chance of getting rid of MS Teams does sound exciting, right?

If Microsoft had some guts, it would have rebranded the entire company. Sure, it might feel silly once the hype wears off, and might even be a testament to dumb CEO hubris, but hey, how can you let a douche like Zuckerberg beat you to that?

people need to learn asking the questions that matter in job interviews: "do you have WFH and if not, how many layers does the toilet paper in the office have?"

someone needs to make a name-and-shame website for companies that use "Maybe Later" instead of "No"

life goals: never having to use any Atlassian product ever again

I guess unless there's a viable alternative to Android I'll stay on iOS. The madness that's setting up something basic as letting a giant corpo take my money (why wouldn't they? They're usually not shy about taking money...) really turned me off of Google for the foreseeable future

(and the horrors of Samsung's software are also still etched in my mind)

out of curiosity... who of you guys who boosted/faved this post are actually XSI fans?

Serious question: what app launchers do people use on macOS when not using Launchpad? (cuz Apple will axe this)

Do you remember all your apps and just type their name in Spotlight? Dig manually through the Application folder? How do you keep things organized? (the same questions Win users asked when MS fucked up the Start menu in 11)

Also, I'm getting old, and tired of, "visual design language changes"... just bring back MacOS 8 or Windows 95's UI style and I'd be happy ... or just make everything look like SoftImage XSI

void maxStartup() {
...
delay(ULLONG_MAX);

The amazing thing about 3DS Max is it's consistent speed. It took forever to launch Max in 2000 and a quarter century later, it still takes forever!

...and CTRL+ALT+DEL doesn't bring up the task manager, but a black screen.... great :/

Fuck Microsoft. Coming home after 1 month, I'm turning the PC on and - tada - it gets stuck right after login.

It's a minimal system with Win11 LTSC and UE5. What could possibly go wrong?!? I was using this thing almost daily a month ago...

Apple: you should wear your Apple Watch overnight to track your sleep 🤩

Also Apple: you’re not regularly charging your Apple watch overnight so we’re going to scold you repeatedly for not installing your updates but will only try at night 😤

anyone know a source for buying a DA-15 Joystick port to USB adapter?

I'm yearning to use my indestructible Gravis joystick again. Thanks!

I just bought a LC 475 (and a LC PDS network card) ... last time I had an LC was 25 years ago and it was a great machine. Hope it arrives soon...
