Do not postpone this, take it very seriously!
At some point we noticed that new (and not so techy) users don't even know how DAVx5 looks/works *before* they install and start using it 😅
So … we've teamed up with a young and talented 3d artist (link below) and created a 60 sec catchy showcase video for DAVx5 😃
We hope you enjoy it!
(although most likely you already use DAVx5 and probably don't need an intro anymore 😇 ).

🚨 ALERT 🚨 for all #FOSS projects out there which get donations via PayPal.
In the last 2 days we've gotten several donations (some as "purchase") ranging from 250 → 500 USD. Always same amount as USD (which was suspicious since we rarely get USD).
The trick of the cheaters: They will open a "Paypal Buyers protection" case and if you just send back the money rather than "cancelling" the real transaction, they will get the money twice...
Suggestion: Mark it as fraud and let Paypal resolve it.
Following @nextcloud 's awesome release of #nextcloud35 #nextcloudCon26 @JonathanTreffler has updated dav_push to support the latest version for your instant syncing pleasure of your contacts/calendars/tasks.
Android developers out there! We're looking for (maybe 😉 ) YOU!
:android: Ever wanted to work on a FOSS project?
🤑 Ever wanted to have a nice salary?
🧘♂️ Ever wanted to have a great work-life-balance and work from 🏠 ?
Then this is your chance!
The team behind DAVx⁵ is hiring and we're looking for a skilled Android dev to join us!
Have a look on our Jobs page here and send us your application!
Please also re-toot/share if you know someone being interested in this!
Nextcloud folks: Do you need something to do on a hot day (like this - at least in central europe ;-))?
Why not update your dav_push app in the NC app store? @JonathanTreffler has included support for NC34 today, so you'll be able to instant-sync your contacts/calendars and tasks/notes/journals again with the latest version of Nextcloud 💙
DAVx5 4.5.14 is out!
Release notes: https://github.com/bitfireAT/davx5-ose/releases/tag/v4.5.14-ose
Since we had a major icalendar-processing update in 4.5.12 we've released 4.5.13 and 4.5.14 recently that should fix all occurring special edge cases which were not detected through our tests and betas.
So... if you had an issue with tasks or events please update to the new version. Most likely it will be fixed :)
We've just released DAVx⁵ 4.5.12 🎉 !
This version brings major upgrades to event + tasks processing (big ical4j library update).
When using WebDAV Push for instant sync there is now a nice selection view where you can control your @unifiedpush distributor.
For many users DAVx5's sync was a little bit of a blackbox. We now provide more details on how many events/contacts/tasks were synced by DAVx5 and which are stored in the respective content providers.
We hope you enjoy the new version 🤘
The team behind DAVx⁵ has grown once again! 😄
We're super happy that no less than @cketti has joined us and will be working on DAVx⁵ in the future. Some might know him already because he was the main developer on @k9mail / @thunderbird for Android in the past. 🎉
Once our main refactoring work is done we're focusing on some cool and very useful features again. Some of them we've had in mind (and were requested by users) for ages 😁 It will be a fantastic year for being a DAVx⁵ user!
yes, that's where the company behind davx5/icsx5 is located at 😉
Thanks to whoever sent this postcard! It's always nice to be reminded that one's work is actually useful.

‼️ This is sadly very important ‼️
Please share and be aware of that – in the worst case – you will NO LONGER be able to side-load apps from individuals/organizations like @fdroidorg f-droid if they are not an Google-approved publisher/developer!
Also sign the petition: https://www.change.org/p/stop-google-from-limiting-apk-file-usage
‼️ This could already happen this year in Sept. 2026 ‼️
@JonathanTreffler @nextcloud This has nothing to do with Nextpush. It can be activated independently to push your contacts calendars and tasks to be received by DAVx5. Just install the davpush app on Nextcloud, then refresh calendars/ address books in DAvx5 and select the UnifiedPush provider you want in the DAVx5 settings at the bottom.
@JonathanTreffler is maintaining the DAV Push extension for your @nextcloud and we're super happy that it again got day-1-support for Nextcloud 33 / Nextcloud Hub 26 Winter (released yesterday!). 🎉 🎉 🎉

Wait no longer – get instant push sync for your Contacts, Calendars and Tasks in DAVx5 whenever something changes on Nextcloud 33!
Contributors have asked for this for very long and now we finally had time to do it: DAVx5 translations can now be done using the awesome and open-source Weblate @weblate 🎉 🎉 🎉
If you want to see or refine your language for DAVx5 register there and start translating – it's really super-easy! 📝 💚

Thank you for your contributions to the project!
On the last day of the year we want to say ♥️ THANK YOU ♥️ for all your support for DAVx⁵! It's been an awesome year and 2026 will be no less for sure 😃 . Thank you for donating to our project, spreading the word and most importantly for using DAVx⁵!
(And if you already donated through our in-app badges function [only available in the Google Play version] you can now consume badges to buy the badges again if you like 🎉😁 ).
See you all in 2026!
Since we are all spread over Europe this one is a rare photo from us alltogether in-person :D This is the team working behind (mostly) DAVx5!
Crowd! do you know talented graphic/modern logo/icon designers? We are thinking of maybe renewing our app icon :) #FollowerPower
4.5 available now on @fdroidorg as well!
Try out our new Push with @unifiedpush 🙂 and sync with high speed.
Special thanks to
@JonathanTreffler for working with us on the Nextcloud app (dav_push)
and
@unifiedpush for providing an excellent framework for push notifications. DAVx⁵'s implementation is based on Unified Push 3
and
@nlnet for providing financial support on this project over the last years via the EU ngi 0 entrust funds
