Don't normally process my #AmperSand shots to black and white, but without the sun shining this was almost there already.
And I liked the dog and their human.
Been a while. Here’s an quick #AmperSand formed of only broken shells, and put together at Gullane Bents in East Lothian.
Oooh, new The Diplomat for our telly viewing, this evening.
It’s such an absurd show and it’s full of melodramatic nonsense if compared to the real world BUT I love that about it AND also think the performances are great AND I love the production AND it’s definitely earning its image as a child of The West Wing.
Quite aside from all that, though, I also simply cannot pretend I’m not thinking it:
Keri Russell.
Cor.
Oh FFS, Olivia Dean has been copying Bill Withers, apparently.

I'm no musician so by all means please correct me if I'm way off, but 'sounding a bit like' is an absolute horseshit argument, and these ghouls should be (IMHO) forced to eat their own copyright certificates.
Robin Thicke's horrible song Blurred Lines deserved much criticism, but Gaye's successful copyright claim against it was a travesty. It paid far too many lawyers, and restricted far too many artists.
I actually prefer the way @DJDarren pronounces my name, but still: getting an ‘aww’ out of Doctor Kermode feels like some kind of achievement!

You know those nation-wide emergency alert systems that occasionally send give everyone in the supermarket a minor heart attack?
Just once, when they're testing them, I'd like them to use this text.
No particular reason, but here are some rooflights and/or oculi, from the archive.
A cancer support centre, an old bird house, a bank, and an art gallery.
Three from Scotland, one from Germany. And honestly the third one isn’t actually American. Really.
At the Colony Of Artists festival, in Abbeyhill.

I love our little neighbourhood.
One of the big crane ships was back in Leith the other day, so I hustled on down there with my camera and... got there just AFTER the golden evening sun disappeared behind the clouds on the horizon.
D'oh!
Still, big things by the shore... Fun anyway!
Well this looks like it would be a very nice little place in which to spend an afternoon getting lost among the records...

Tuning my wireless now. 📻
I guess if you live in the centre of Edinburgh you shouldn’t be too surprised to pass a pipe band followed by 300 horses or so, marching up the Canongate…
Still, I was!
Two minutes previously I was just strolling down the road and thinking how nice it was that there wasn’t any traffic.
Anyway, nice to hear a decent pipe band, occasionally. It sounds so much better than the lone pipers who tend to belt out the same four tunes for the tourists.

You heard the man, folks. I've been given not only permission, but actual instruction!
In a few years, when you're all boring your kids with arguments about whether Less May Or May Not Be More, you can blame Darren.
Wifebot is literally in a fairly important lobby in Westminster this very afternoon, lobbying for trans rights. They're talking about specifically her, and the others with or like her.
And if they think she's truth-phobic they can fuck RIGHT off.
