let me cure your imposter syndrome. The BBC's cybersecurity expert claimed to not know what PHP is. So next time someone questions your credentials be sure to let them know you can do whatever the fuck it is they want you to do.

the great kangaroo raid of 2026 ended in failure. #rimworld

us-east-1 in a nutshell

wait a sec, lemme capture a pcap. yeah, http.server doesn't support it, but the exploit looks like it'll still yeet it at the listener. Hold on.

Anyone know of a quick way I can stand up an http/2 server in python? I'm not sure if http.server supports HTTP/2 requests, and the exploit I'm testing is specifically HTTP/2.

I'm extremely fucking aware of cybersecurity this month.

anyway, shits on fire.

the internet is a work of art that is slowly eating itself like an Ouraboros

Pulled down the proof of concept over here:

https://jackalsyn.com/posts/php-up-2026.html

Set up a dockerized wordpress with apache2/mod_php.

It looks like DDOS traffic more than it looks like any unique traffic. Makes sense, its a vuln that is triggered by high memory usage.

So there would be a SHITLOAD of generic curl GET requests, followed by this massive multi-part form POST request.

email isn't redacted. I don't care. None of you will send me spam anyway.

HAAH. FUCK OFF. AND WHEN YOURE DONE FUCKING OFF, FUCK OFF SOME MORE. KEEP FUCKING OFF INTO THE SUN.

examples:

• why does clickfix still work? Because all of your users have access to powershell and none of them need it. Also, all of your users have access to the run prompt, and in this case they have absolutely no need for it (the vast majority not even knowing it existed before that totally legit cloudflare notification popped up, asking them to open it)

• Why do reverse shells and other random bullshit traffic on seemingly random ports, including SMB traffic still work for payload delivery? because egress filtering was never, and will never be implemented because it gives the executives bad vibes.

infosec: a subject where many of us in the trenches know the avenue of attack, there's no real reason WHY that avenue is open. The only thing holding you back as a consummate professional is bureaucracy and office politics. Because of that, you say your piece, cover your ass and say called it under your breath during the incident response bridge.

The polish version would be yeeting a ball of saurkraut at someone and shouting KURWA! at the top of your lungs.

I don't know how many of you have witnessed the Kimchi slap. I wonder if there is an italian version called the spaghetti slap.

you wouldn't wanna make the shareholders cry, would you?

I made a return visit to "The one that got away" in Downtown Honor, MI. In the summer we looked at a 1 acre plot out here, but the long and short of it, is that the community has an HOA. and While there are no HOA dues, there are HOA rules, and there are no HOA benefits. They had exacting requirements for what could be built on the land, and doing the math for everything, it wasn't feasible. But what was very noteworthy is that this plot was in a small, dead-end neaighborhood on a hilltop with a commanding view of the countryside.

At my heart, I am a man that loves to be near the water. Either I was a frog, or a waterbug in a previous life. I'll never know, but when people say they come up north in the fall to see the trees, THIS is what they mean.

Alt Text for all four images: These images come from a hillside of a small town in northern michigan, Honor, MI. A clear blue sky fading into white in the horizon dominates the upper half of each of these pictures. Coming up from the bottom of each image meeting in that blue-white horizon is a sea of trees. Its mid-fall in northern Michigan, so this ocean of trees, is awash in colors. Bright yellows fading into dark orange, fading into flaming, vibrant reds, mixed with the green of trees who aren't quite ready to hibernate for the winter, or are evengreen pine trees. Some of the photos feature some house and structures while others feature the "honor highway", one of the main paths from shores of lake Michigan into traverse city. Dotted along the roads are house and buildings of downtown Honor, MI.

Hey there. After nearly a full year of effort, I've finally released a new update to Suricata: An Operator's Guide.

This new release adds in Chapter 10, a chapter focused on TLS inspection with Suricata.
