It worked!!!

I dropped a stitch while #knitting this lace shawl, which means I actually dropped two stitches of the pattern repeat since there was a k2tog involved. It came down 4 rows to the color change and I was able to insert a lifeline after the fact. @nasamuffin suggested https://www.actechniques.co.uk/blog/2019/4/30/be-the-boss-of-your-knitting-fixing-mistakes-in-lace so I'm going to give that a shot. Fixing mistakes in knitting is so much harder than knitting!

I've had a deeply shitty (and expensive!) month and I'm so glad it's almost over. Good riddance to August 2026.

I am in London. I will make it to my hotel eventually. What a miserable flight.

Ok, I know I've only had two classes but I simply cannot stickhandle at all. :ded: 🏒 (I will keep trying.)

I applaud the GMs for thinking outside the box, but this is so upsetting for me personally.

Did not predict the Goldeneyes firing Idalski today. Kinda surprised!

The red flowering currant I planted last year is flowering for the first time.

Griffin and David are finally doing Peter Weir which means I'm going to have to watch Master and Commander again.

Since NBC's approach to LGBT Olympians has been "pretend they are straight and single" and thus you are unlikely to hear about it on the broadcast, Team USA hockey captain Hilary Knight got engaged to speedskater Brittany Bowe this morning. They met at the 2022 Olympics. I'm so happy for them!

I thought Sweden would do better than that, but it might actually be impossible to score against this USA women's hockey team.

NBC treating the women's hockey semifinal as advertising for the men's games. I'm going to fucking lose it.

At first I was like well, Alex Carpenter is old so we probably shouldn't use a protection slot on her when the league expands next summer. Then I watched her put up a casual 3 point night and now I'm like 32 is the new 25. :pwhl_torrent:

Can I bind off this sweater before I run out of yarn? The chicken is asking.

I want to replace the light fixture in my bathroom because it is hella ugly, but I am totally overwhelmed by all the choices.

Leif says HELLO

Word on the street (a tweet by King5 sports reporter Arielle Orsuto) is that PWHL expansion to Seattle will be announced at a press conference at Climate Pledge Arena on Wednesday morning.

I think I've gotten fairly decent at making naan from scratch on the cast iron. :wendel:
