Paranoia De-Prompting: Artistic experiments on generative image

Ting-Chun Liu und Leon-Etienne Kühr sind bekannte Größen in der Community des Chaos Communication Congress durch ihre Vorträgen 51 Ways to Spell the Image Giraffe, arafed futures und Self-cannibalizing AI.

Wir freuen uns, sie in Bonn für ihren Vortrag "Paranoia De-Prompting: Artistic experiments on generative image" begrüßen zu können. Der Vortag wird auf Englisch stattfinden. In den Worten der Vortragenden:

"In this talk, we present our artistic investigations into the hidden mechanisms of generative image systems. While these systems often appear as black boxes, peeking inside reveals intricate pipelines of interwoven models that produce legible images only through their complex interactions. We will discuss our practice of dissecting generative systems, investigating individual models, and applying various feedback and adversarial tactics at different stages of the image-making process, and to better understand the underlying mechanisms while finding aesthetic potential within them."

Im Anschluss an den Vortrag findet eine offene Fragerunde statt, in der ihr die Gelegenheit haben, die im Vortrag vorgestellten Ideen, Methoden und künstlerischen Experimente zu diskutieren

Die Veranstaltung beginnt um 16.30 Uhr im Hörsaal 1 und endet spätestens um 20 Uhr.

Can you recommend me a mostly waterproof ink that won't clog? Yeah yeah, I know it's not a great combination.

I currently have the platinum carbon ink and have massive issues with clogging. Even switched to a super wet feeder and now the line goes from stuttering to extra wet 😅

AI contributions have the added pain of being demoralizing. Reviewing PRs is already tedious work, but it is rewarding because reviewers generally feel that their efforts are contributing to educating a new contributor (who may become a future maintainer/reviewer). If your feedback on PRs is just being absorbed by a machine and not going towards mentoring a potential future maintainer, it becomes much harder to justify spending your free time on PR review.

@twilliability Ich habe früher generative algorithmische Grafiken und Fotografie getrennt. Der Wendepunkt war bei mir der Einsatz von Farbe in Blender. In vielen Blender Renderings stammen die Farben, das Licht und die kleinteiligen Strukturen aus Fotos. Heute verbindei ich Fotos-Vidoes mit Algorithmen.

Super glad we switched to an AC as primary heating source in our tiny house.
It's now also the primary cooling source and energy is basically free in summer 🧊
And in winter we can better draw energy from the battery compared to the electric floor heating.

I'm at 99.7% done with my PhD. I have interesting teaching opportunities in the pipeline and if they won't work out, I have tons of other cool stuff to do. And still my brain is in full-blown panic mode. Whyyyyyy

Deep in the woods, away from the path well-traveled, was a little hut that smelled like herbal tea and fresh bread.
Anyone that stumbled upon the hut was greeted by an old cat on its front porch, and was eyed critically should they decide to step closer.

For my understanding: if I wanted a custom touch wheel face plate and would also use a PCB as "material", I should not use any copper on the layers to not interfere with the EM field? Or won't it matter?
