Modern iOS and it’s security features really sucking out the joy of getting a new phone.

Previous OSes would walk you through things and restore things in the background through iCloud.

Now you gotta do a mandatory iOS update, restoring from iCloud happens in the foreground, takes forever, and can’t connect two Pro phones that support Thunderbolt to speed things up(?).

95 minutes later and I’m still waiting to use a brand new phone. Shucks!
