I know some of the Mac folk here are expecting some kind of 'come to Jesus' moment, but as far as I'm aware, Apple leadership is happy with Liquid Glass and intends to continue to tweak it in the same way they have been. I don't believe there's any scenario whatsoever where they revert the Mac UI to what it was. The era of design you yearn for ended in 2013, the Mac has just taken a very long time to catch up to Apple's other platforms (and it's still not fully there)

We all know that the Mac platform as a whole was built by a lot of incredibly talented AppKit developers (and designers) both first and third party, that have long since moved on, aged out, even sadly passed. Even if Apple were to decide to 'recreate the glory days' or whatever, and focus on the Mac like they used to, it'll be today's SwiftUI developers using Claude et al trying to fill that gap. Even another /redesign/ so soon would infuriate developers who burned out trying to get LG done

@stroughtonsmith I’m really hoping that this year is a “Snow Leopard” year and that Apple spends a lot of time refining. I finally upgraded to Tahoe after getting the badge on System Settings, and it feels like a downgrade in many ways. I agree that they’re not going to do a 180… but I think they need to at least do a 45.
