Has it not been 4 years already?

I made a watchface for my #UNAWatch .
It shows the elevation curve if your latest run (and weather and date).

So.

Have people not caught up with the Ponzi scheme Musk is running yet?

Always announce some new pipe dream just before the previous one collapses

so you can just quietly swipe that under the rug

while investor pour money to the new idea.

Flying Teslas. Sure. Why the fuck not..

Testing a #trailrunning simulation mode on the indoor trainer.
Not quite there yet, but promising. I have a clear picture how this becomes very useful as cross trainig for trail ultras.

Experimenting..

And people are still justifying buying new Teslas somehow...

This is brilliant!

I want people to use our product because they get value out of it, not because they once signed up and are now locked in.

The fuure of Digital Sovereignity in Europe and elsewhere is you owning your data. All of it. That includes your social connections.

You can create your own trail running profile and connect to the trail running community with a free account at:

And yes, we're now directly taking on Strava.

But I don't want to create yet-another-social platform. Instead, VertMatch community is directly connected to other sports (and some non-sports) products via ActivityPub, the Mastodon protocol.

Not only can you follow people from @fitpub and @pixelfed but if you decide that you don't want to stay with VertMatch, you cna take your account with you when you leave. Not just your acitvities, your followers and people you follow!

We pushed a massive update to #VertMatch

The structure finally makes sense.

It's also more familiar with your activity stream right in front.

All the climb features are still there, just better structured.

Training is also now much more clearly explained in context of training phases helping you better understand the recommended sessions etc.

Making some good progress, I think

Bots are pretty good motivators.

There's something about not wanting to let someone get by, or wanting to catch the one right up the road.

Aurboda looks like a super interesting project.

"A self-hosted personal data warehouse for quantified self. Aurboda unifies your health, fitness, productivity, location, and nutrition data from Oura, Garmin, Strava, Android Health Connect, screen-time trackers, calendars, and more into a single timeline and database that lives on your own server."

Federated systems are a counterbalance to companies taking your data to lock you in.

This is especially true in sports. Once you're in Strava, leaving is difficult.

I want us to liberate ourselves from these companies.

There's a fantastic inititaitive for ActivityPub for sport activity sharing:

I'm hoping @fitpub gets on board.

Please consider linking this initiative.
And commenting (although, I've now waited over a week for moderators letting my comment throufh).

In this episode of Snapp Technology Podcast, @jasperamorgan and I discuss the glooming vendor lockin that Anthropic is clearly crafting around their tools and how we plan to avoid it.

Ukraine taking russian data centers offline is genius.
All these bot influencer operations in Europe and US are immediately slowed down and losing their impact to influence politics and opinions.
