@whitequark I noticed that recently as well. There is a live feed of certificate issues that a ton of bots read from and instantly start probing. Only way around it that I’ve found is to issue a wildcard cert and have things served from obscure subdomains.

@carbontwelve@notacult.social @whitequark@social.treehouse.systems Aha! This must be why my server is immediately flooded by crawlers as soon as a new image is redeployed! The server uses a reboot cronjob to apply for certificates! I knew the crawlers, but I couldn't understand why do they always arrive after a reboot...
