@maya my sister went to art school and learned how to give and receive critique of her work there. I went to school for computer science and had to learn how to give and receive code review on the job.

semi related, I graduated from school and started working in tech in 2015 right after gamergate & I think that the way that was handled was an indicator to me re: interpersonal disagreement toxicity in the tech industry. time and again I am reminded of the role of online harassment in shaping the industry I still work in today
