Oct 14, 2026, 5:15 PM@catalina @bipolaron @WhyNotZoidberg I actually haven't read this, only the most offensive paragraph or so cropped out on social media, so maybe it's not that bad, but even though it's literally true there is a potentially non-harmful vision of "AI" that predates OpenAI, I still call into question why someone would choose to adopt this framing
@mcc @bipolaron @WhyNotZoidberg it's basically him complaining that people conflate LLMs with 'AI' more broadly, then going on to say that because 'AI' predates LLMs, nobody has grounds to complain about LLMs in particular. it was very weird!
@catalina @mcc @bipolaron It should be the opposite, if you are going to "Akshully" AI: He should be FINE with people specifying LLMs, right?
