Of course it seems ridiculous to me too to consider LLMs to be conscious (and I seriously doubt it).
But either (consciousness relies on incomputable physics or some metaphysical spark) or (some kind of software must *in principle* exist that can produce consciousness).
To me it seems that many people reject both which seems incoherent.
