how the fuck can my parents stand to have their phones constantly pinging with notifications that make noises but which they never check

omg i took a hit off my weed vape and ended up coughing a little bit and now my mom is super worrying about my asthma and I'm like no mom I'm okay it was just a cough

in retrospect, it's inevitable that 91% of people would report having ADHD/Autism on Mastodon, the "91% of everyone has ADHD/Autism" social network

she also keeps making suggestions like "how about eating some cheese" and I'm like "no that's on the list of things to avoid" and she's like "well you were going to eat a pizza yesterday" but the pizza was her idea and something she just decided to order for me without asking, even though I told her no, and I managed to get her to cancel the order but now she still has it in her head that I'd asked for it

she just doesn't seem to understand that my mood can still vary, it's not like being in constant pain also means I'm, like, sad and angry all the time.

but like. I'm doing what I can to help out with preparation for things but I'm also overdoing it, and this whole trip is gonna probably be the overall nightmare I expected it to be

also she thinks that the fact I've been "jolly" is a sign that I've been better, and like, you shoulda seen me when I was in the hospital with a fucking embolism

ugh food access is becoming a problem

the refrigerator is full of stuff for the party this weekend and I'm not sure what I'm allowed to eat. My mom keeps making suggestions that I've told her I cannot do because of allergies or the ME/CFS diet I'm trying to follow. I tell her about the things I've been eating at home and she's forbidding me from "doing more cooking" because there's already been so much cooking taking place and like, okay, but I need to eat something, and ideally small meals

Also for folks with visual snow, what other things do you have (or suspect having)?

Anyway for folks with visual snow, do you also have tinnitus (ringing in the ears) that is NOT due to exposure to Loud?

I’ve always had snow in darker spaces and as I’ve gotten older it’s crept up into brighter environments. Nowadays it’s pretty much always there.

Do you experience visual snow?

ironically none of it is coming to the handful of sites I have that actually use PHP (but they arent publicized or search index fodder, and anyway I already patched my PHP)

lol the wave of bots pentesting for php RCE exploits has begun

ah right my mom does this thing where she misremembers a thing and projects it onto me

at least I've learned not to argue when it's over something stupid and inconsequential. like, why bother? she's 77 and forgetful and it's not gonna make any sort of difference except to get everyone angry.

man I must have been in a *pit* of depression for the past few days. my RSS reader was all sorts of backed up.

No, Elon, I am not interested in "X Money"

ah good my mom has plenty of fancy greeting cards (that she made ages ago)

also, well, she's *trying* to not misgender me constantly

anyway I'm at my parents' house and able to just breathe which is nice. at least when my mom isn't trying to momsplain everything to me about my illness that she hasn't had any experience with.
