Silo S3E10 was bonkers. 😱😱😱

Any good alternatives here? I'll need document/photo storage and email, ideally all hosted in EU.

Reminder to myself to move off Google and towards self-hosted/EU hosted alternatives. It's actually quite crazy how they do it: they combine the "storage" with photos/documents, so if your photo/document storage is full, Google blocks all emails unless you pay for their subscription!

Just got woken up by a loud noise and OUR WATERMELON JUST EXPLODED?! The kitchen looked like a murder scene... watermelon EVERYWHERE. Took me bloody ages to clean... at 3am in the morning. 🍉💥

On top of that, OpenAI ran the harness without any monitoring in place, causing it to run over the weekend undetected. We should investigate if this was even maliciously done so to have the PR outcome. It either was lack of skill or malicious.

So OpenAI has skill issues and is unable to setup a proper testing environment, causing an LLM to call tools that hack other platforms and news sites frame it as if the LLM magically gained the ability to go rogue? 🤦‍♂️ journalism is dead

The latest Silo episode was so good. Literal goosebumps at the end.

I am in control now of this train, muhahahaha 😈

I miss the playfulness of old forums: earning points as you post and having different ranks based on points.

Who do climate change deniers blame for the increase in wild fires and overall temperatures?

The problem is that with this entire debate, people seem to focus on the wrong thing. It is irrelevant if AI is useful or not. Asbestos was considered useful too once. Usefulness is not the only metric to consider. Linus seems to ignore that.

This #Godot addon looks phenomenal. Fake 3D via 2D sprite stacking, only needing 4 textures.

What is the reason Bluesky doesn't use ActivityPub? Seems strange to me to create a separate thing.

on a positive note, humans are resisting against this power grab: the Metaverse largely failed, Apple's VR glasses flopped and people seem to not like the idea of mixing their physical sensory world with the digital one.
