I'm sick of doing digital sovereignty video calls over Teams. Signal is not quite there in terms of video quality, and I'd love to self-host something. But things like Jitsi and BigBlueButton appear to have so many moving parts that I worry about running them (securely). Did anyone build something minimal perhaps?

I've been digging through privacy policies on a few sites and am more confused than when I started 😖 The photos aren't anything special, day-to-day stuff that I want to send to friends and family because I want to try a more analogue approach.

Sometimes I take a photo simply because it looks like it would be a really nice spot to have a wee nap, if one were small enough to do so. This is one of them. I am hoping I have correctly identified the flowers, otherwise the title makes no sense.

Until I saw the bridge being raised, I hadn't realised that I had never seen a bridge being raised. I was fascinated. How it works. How it is designed. How it is maintained. Who works it. How everyone involved knows when and how and what to do. Infrastructure is amazing.
