The basic gist is: AI made me a worse, apathetic programmer. I think it's bad for humanity, the planet, and the craft of software engineering. And I'm done using it.

To teach my students the fallacy of "I have nothing to hide", I simply ask them to tell the whole class about the last time they masturbated.

It is surprisingly efficient, they immediately grasp it. I never had someone argue with me on the subject after that.

i dont care if youve been writing code for 20 years or if youre really good at it or if you use llms in moderation. youre still slopping down everyones throats and youre paying money to fascists for the privilege when you could just fucking not do that. "oh youre being an asshole for not liking llms" shut the fuck up

there needs to be social consequences for these people. treat them like fascists. dont talk to them. dont be friends with them. dont invite them to social gatherings unless they pull their shit together. theyre walking ads for fash-lite and we all know how that works out. de-friend them until they realize that materially supporting fascism has consequences.

if you give money to anthropic or openai then youre accelerating fascism and the death of the planet and i think youre a bad person and i dont care if you think that makes me an asshole
