Relaxing work today, just doing the basic texturing. I still need to do all the shine/rough and stuff like that. Also I think add some detail to the top of his undies but it's a good break point to stop and look at him for a bit and see what I want to change up.

This guy took forever to model because I was dead set on getting him under 10K triangles. (Ended up at 9983)
Finally able to move on and do the fun parts! (Not you, weight painting!)

He's based on an airbrush painting I did years ago. The original was life-sized, but I loaned it out at a party, forgot to pick it up, and fell out of contact with the person who had it.

Spouse ordered spices online during the pandemic, we got a misorder of a half pound of ras el hanout. The seller didn't want to bother with the cost of return and curiously, I never opened it and gave it a taste until I found it in the bottom of the spice vault today. (still vacuum sealed in a sealed food vault in a cold dark place)

Turns out, it's basically excellent spiced-chai flavor with hot paprika. I am now in spicy chai heaven.

Working on my first free public VRChat avatar. Did the basic lipsync blendshapes last night. Also some wing blend and pupil blends. There's a weird little pop in the upper lip that I can't figure out how to resolve. Plenty of vertices but a little frustrating.
May take another crack at it later. Right now I'm gonna work on gestures for the pupil dilation and a script for wing flaps.

Well. Despite feeling awful (and also thankful vaccination has made this less bad than it could have been) from the covid, I managed to find enough energy to finish up the texturing today.

I think I'm going to punt on a bump map until I feel good about getting the rest (notably the transparency) to render for Quest for this #VRChat avatar.
